This is a great shop; technically a hardware store, but they stock far more. I'll go in for a tin of paint and usually come out with other things I need and didn't expect to find. I get a lot of my kitchenware here (baking trays, frying pans, cafetière etc), and if there's something they don't have they can normally order it for you. There are 2 rooms downstairs, it's bigger than I realised. The massive benefit of this place is that Gabi speaks fluent English (and intermediate French) which is very unusual in Olvera. Even if you can get by with your Spanish, it's a bit of a luxury to be confident you've been understood and have definitely bought the right thing!

Just came to see our house in Olvera for the first time. Very quick visit but we needed a few bits. They have most things you're likely to need for DIY around the house and they cut keys. Extremely helpful guy served me each time we popped in. He speaks English and is prepared to put up with my clumsy, very limited Spanish. Definitely one to recommend!
