Well, I'm digusted.
For one year, I've been coming to this shop first and spending my money there, but this time I entered to look for a particular type of plastic 'taco' with an external thread to use in expanded polystyrene and to buy some new power tools .. maybe €4/500 worth.
The woman there stopped me from looking myself, treating me as if I was a thief and didn't show any patience or good manners to listen to what I was describing (I speak fluent Spanish and have a technical vocabulary superior to the majority of Spanish people).
So .. she tried to sell me some glue which would have been totally inadequate .. this is just lying and trying to sell me something unsuitable and push me out without the tiniest amount of respect.
As a professional restorer of classic sailing boats, sports cars, antique aircraft and music instruments, I am very competent and know exactly the correct products and methods for repairing almost anything.
She treated me with such an ignorant and clearly racist attitude that I just walked out and will never go there again.
Having lived in Spain for almost 30 years, I am well aware of the arrogance shop owners/workers have towards their clients, but they've got to learn that it's the clients' money that is giving them their businesses and their living.
So I went to the Bazaar Chino and found exactly the 'tacos' I wanted .. with smiles.
